Great experience! The staff is super friendly and helped prepare us well for our adventure. Very peaceful with beautiful wildlife. Leave your valuables in the car or they sell small water proof bags for $12 for your phone and wallet. Highly recommend!

This is a good location to access either going out the mouth of Shem creek or heading up the creek to explore the marsh adjacent to I appreciated the good information on tides and the ways tides would impact our time on the water. Thanks!

Best kayak spot in Charleston!

Everyone was so pleasant and friendly. I rented a single and had a blast talking to other kayakers and boaters. I even had two dolphins swim up very close to me I stopped paddling and enjoyed the view. What a fun day

Absolutely great experience! I highly recommend! Decided to do this as part of my vacation, I’m inexperienced with kayaking, but the guide, Charley, was very helpful! I was a little bit awkward for the first 15 minutes, then picked it up rather quickly. He had a lot of great information to share, And we were able to see some dolphins at the end! If you go, I do recommend going with someone and doing a tandem kayak, that way one person can control, and the other person can take pictures. It was a little bit hard, solo to try and do both, and as I tried to get videos of the dolphins in the creek, I drifted times and had to catch up with the group

Very chill 😎, we rented 2 kayaks and went out to the ship wreck , with big boats whirling by many many dolphins 🐬 were swimming near us , around us and they were hunting at low tide ..it was a very fun experience we would do it again just to see the dolphins and be that close in the little creeks..very cool vibe ..

I love just going out on my own kayaking. It did start to get crazy out there around 10am. We started at 9:15am and got to see a dolphin and all the boats on Shem Creek. The tide was very low though and I wished they would've warned us where it was so low, because we got stuck a few times. Other than that the instructors were great! I love Shem Creek!!

Had such a fun time out on the water! Highly suggest you give it a chance wether you are a first time kayaker or do it all the time!!

great kayaking experience

We rented kayaks for 4 hours/half day and had a great time! We saw several dolphins and it was very relaxing to just sit and watch the boats and the waves. It was super easy to make a reservation and we had no problems getting our kayaks or any issues on the water. Definitely recommend Nature Adventures if you are looking to kayak on Shem Creek!
