My son, my husband, and I decided last minute to go on a kayak tour the Wednesday after Labor Day. I called this company at 8:30am asking if we could go on the 10am tour. I guess they didn't have any other inquiries for that day and time, so they didn't have a guide lined up. Within the hour, they found a guide for us.
We were fortunate enough to have a great guide (Clark) all to ourselves. He was so very knowledgeable and patient with us [relatively] novice kayakers. He knew so much about the area and its wildlife and educated us in a fun and interesting way.
And then - the piece de resistance - when we were headed back at the end of our tour, three shrimp boats were coming in as well and following them were several dolphin! We got to see them up close - almost within arms length! It was amazing.
Clark (our guide) said it best when he said that "the best way to explore the creek/marsh is on a kayak". You can get to places boats can't get to and you can get so much closer to the wildlife! Pelicans floated right next to us!
We were never rushed or made to feel like we were on some scripted tour. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip and I'm thankful we chose to do it with Nature Adventures! Would recommend this company and any of their tours to anyone!
