I had a fantastic kayak tour! The guide was very knowledgeable and thoroughly entertaining

My husband and I recently took the saltwater two-hour tour with NAO. Our guide was great! Having a dolphin swim right next to my kayak was an awesome experience!

Went on a sunrise kayak tour and it was amazing! Our guide Ben was very funny and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to come back!

Such a fun experience!! Got to take a trip with the CofC softball for a team bonding session and it was so much fun!! Definitely recommend taking a visit here with friends or family 😊😊

We had an incredible time on Shem Creek in a tandem kayak. Our tour guide, Ethan, was fun, pleasant, and knowledgeable. The water was calm, the weather was perfect, and we even saw a few dolphins right at the end of our day out on the water. Highly recommend!

My husband surprised me with a kayak tour and we were not disappointed! We have lived in Charleston almost a year and learned so much into on the tour with Ben! Excellent tour and guide , definitely recommend if you’ve visiting or even a local!

We went kayaking on a tandem kayak with a guide and it was a mixture of information about Shem Creek as well as the bay as well as little tidbits. Our guide was an excellent birder and pointed out many different kinds of birds in their habitat as well as their mannerisms. He also told us a little bit about the dolphins and a shipwreck that just happened a few months ago. We saw a sea turtle which apparently is somewhat rare. And many dolphins in the creek. We like having a guide when we’re new to the area because they point out things in history about the area we normally would not get if we just kayaked on her own.

I LOVED my tour! My family and I had a great time, we loved our guide, she was EXCELLENT! And the entire staff was friendly and very helpful! We have been twice and I would highly recommend going if your at all interested in learning to kayak!

Our family of four had a wonderful time on the two hour tour. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable - our 7 and 9 year olds really enjoyed it - especially when the dolphins came right by our kayaks.

Charlie our guide was great.. shared history of the area and was very personable. The views were beyond beautiful and I am so glad we booked this tour. Thank you to everyone who makes this happen for all of us!

Our guide, Teresa, was awesome. She was able to keep 5 teens / pre-teens engaged in the adventure for the full 3 hours. A couple of the boys had not kayaked before and she was able to get them up to speed quickly. We were able to see a number of alligators, barred owls, crab, a water snake, and overall enjoy nature. Definitely a day they will remember.

Unfortunately there was a really high tide the day we rented SUPs, but we absolutely loved our guide, Kent. Cute area with several bars/restaurants within walking distance. VERY reasonably priced. Recommend happy hour at the Shem Creek Inn.

Our tour guide Matt was great. He shared lots of information about the area and historical info. We had a great time.

Charlie was a joy to paddle with! We saw dolphins and lots of other wildlife on our 2 hour tour.

Ben was a great tour guide for our 2-hour kayak trip. We had a great, relaxing time kayaking along Shem Creek and learning everything from ecology and biology to history and interesting anecdotes about the area.

We kayaked and loved looking at the wildlife, our tour guide was super, and we even saw dolphins! Not too challenging- can be graded for your level of participation. Don’t be scared off thinking it’ll be too challenging

My son and I took the 3 hour tour with Ben. We had an awesome time and enjoyed Ben's knowledge of the area and marine life. We would definitely recommend this to others. We was three manatees and a dolphin during our trip.

Jim was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable! Would definitely recommend the 2 hour tour. We saw wildlife including birds and dolphins.

My sisters & I stayed down the road from Shem Creek and wanted to have a day on the water. We enjoyed our quick 2-hr guided tour with Jay. He was so knowledgeable and helped us find some neat things on the island. Would highly recommend!

We did an early morning ride (singles and a tandem) on Shem Creek with Braxton. Unfortunately, White caps kept us out of the harbor but gliding along the creek was gorgeous and peaceful. Braxton was friendly and collegial with us, which we really appreciated. We were disappointed not to see dolphin but did see some beautiful sea birds. Two hours was just enough and not too hot at 8:00. We will definitely go again!

We took the 2 hour kayaking tour on Shem Creek and had a great time. Our guide was Cindy and she was really friendly and knowledgeable about the birds and real estate. It was a nice relaxing ride just listening to her and paddling along. We did see one dolphin, I was hoping to see more, but that wasn’t her fault! We went down Shem Creek and out to a little island where we got out and picked up some shells. She was good about helping us out so we didn’t have to get too wet! Then we went along and looked at the houses and kayaked under their piers. She pointed out lots of interesting things along the way.

Kathie was the BEST tour guide. It was even better that only 4 of us (another mother/daughter on their vacation just like us). We saw a Mom and baby dolphin towards the end of the tour and we had a leisure and pleasant/informative tour. I would do it again and I n usually don't repeat anything I do including vacationing in the same place twice.
