Great place to get out on the water near Charleston. The guides are knowledgeable and passionate, and pointed out a lot of things I would have missed otherwise. They will also give you directions to different places to check out that were not included on the tour. I ended up going back after lunch and paddled for the rest of the day by myself. Each guide seems to have their own area of expertise, and the tours are different from guide to guide, as well as time of day, as tides seem to play a factor in which "route" the guide takes. I have been three times now, and can't recommend this company highly enough.

We were excited about out kayaking trip until we woke up to rain, However, the lovely woman at Nature Adventures assured us it was a water sport and to head on over. We were glad that we did. We saw a dolphin or two and had a really nice, pretty good workout without the sun beaming down on us. Very enjoyable. Our guide, Bob, was the right combination of helpful and funny.

Awesome experience. The guides were spot on with their timings for tide changes and it made for an easy paddle out and back. Tons of places to explore, lots of wildlife, and got to see the dolphins swimming right next to us. Will definitely be back!

We had a fabulous paddle today with Ryan up the creek and out into the harbour. Ryan was an excellent guide firstly by his careful and clear instructions as we were all novices and with his fun stories as we leisurely paddled past the oysters beds. We were very lucky to see dolphins very close by, a mother was teaching her baby to catch fish by stunning them with her tail. It was amazing. We also were surrounded by lots of pelicans fishing, a blue heron, wood stork, turkey vultures, egrets, ibis, cardinals and red wing blackbirds. All in all a wonderful day.

Always see dolphins... the tour guides are always nice and informative... and we have also just rented one time, and still had a great experience! We always take all visitors when they come in town... great spot to go out and see the harbor... the shem creek, the creeks surrounding the area.. and we always have a great time with lots of great pictures. Lots of great restaurants to eat at after kayaking... or before! Great spot and great company at providing this service. Very enjoyable and definitely recommend!

Our tour guide Kathy was excellent! She was friendly and knowledgeable and accommodating. Some in our group wanted to be in kayaks sitting on top and others inside. She pulled out kayaks to accommodate each of us. We had three couples in our group in the 8:00AM tour. The water was very calm and it wasn’t too hot yet. Great time to go! Kathy gave some basic instructions- this is a gentle, easy kayaking excursion and beginners would have no trouble. We saw several dolphins and many pelicans. We also saw a few great white cranes and an osprey nest with a juvenile in it. Kathy was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and pointed out many along the way and told stories and interesting facts.

We had a great kayak tour through Nature Adventures. Charlie was a great guide, and we got lucky and saw many dolphins! Highly recommend!

We had a fabulous kayak trip in Shem Creek with Eric. He was very knowledgeable about the Creek, birds and Charleston history. Thank you for a fun afternoon

I had kayaked on a small pond for less than a half hour so knew I wanted to "really" kayak. I called Sunday morning and they had a 2:00 tour. My 67 year old mom and I drove from Columbia and had the best time ever! We are both recently active but were concerned about ability and frankly, snakes. We were so assured when I called that neither would be a problem that we took the plunge! Fortunately, we never plunged literally, were more than comfortable with the physical requirements and even going up the creek were not afraid. Our guide was knowledgable and interesting, made us feel very safe but wasn't controlly, felt like we were out with friends. Highly recommend this company and the Shem Creek 2 hour tour! Will be back, often!

Great fun. Very relaxing way to spend the day. Teresa, out guide, was terrific. Extremely friendly, knowledgable and passionate about nature. Beautiful scenery, lovely shaded waterways and lots of wildlife. All very safe and no mosquitos!

We had a great time on our tour guided by Ethan. Tour was very relaxed. Ethan was competent and informative while allowing for some independence in paddling.

This was a perfect activity for our family. We went on the sunset kayaking tour. It was so much fun, peaceful, interesting and memorable! Tillman, our guide, could not have been any nicer and patient (as this was our first time to kayak)! Seeing the dolphins so close to our kayaks left us speechless!

It was a very fun and memorable experience! The guides are very knowledgeable and informative. It was worth the view and adventure. Would definitely recommend this activity to a must Things-to-do in Charleston!

Yesterday, we went out on a small women's group kayak adventure to Crab Island to search for sharks teeth. Elizabeth and Ben were great from beginning to end! Some in our group had never kayaked before and our instructions were detailed and put everyone at ease. Beautiful weather, great company, lots of laughter and two knowledgable pros!! I'm looking forward to our next trip.

The 2-hour kayak tour with Shem Creek Nature Adventures was absolutely amazing! We were thrilled to see dolphins up close, which has been on my Charleston bucket list! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the kayaks were in excellent condition. The tour was well-paced with plenty of relaxing breaks, making the two hours feel easy and enjoyable. We had Ethan as a tour guide and he made the tour so educational and humorous! Highly recommend this tour for a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. Five stars!

Joshua was our guide for the Shem Creek Kayak experience and he was awesome. a shared historical info and great nature information as well and threw in some comedic moments! Slower paced but really enjoyable, highly recommend!

We had the best time! It was my first time in a kayak, but Clark made it so easy. He was an excellent guide. We saw several dolphins and hundreds of pelicans. Clark made it all very interesting and I can't wait to do it again.

My husband and I were visiting Charleston and learned of this kayaking tour company. We were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival that it was just us and our tour guide. We took the Charleston River 2 hour tour. I wish I could remember our tour guides name, he was wonderful!

We had the best time on this two hour tour of Shem Creek with family and friends. There were eight of us and the guides were so knowledgeable and helpful! I highly recommend this group for kayaking and paddle boards.
