My boyfriend and I went on the two hour Shem creek tour and we had a great time. It was super informative and our tour guide knew so much about the wildlife and the area. Not to mention the price was great! Definitely going to be going on more tours with them!

My husband and I were on a weekend getaway and booked this trip. Our guide was very knowledgeable and the overall experience was wonderful!!

The knowledge the staff has amazing. Our guide Matt the knowledge he had he must have a degree in marine biology. He knew all the bird but pointed out little crabs and explained that the male have 1 large claw using it for the mating. It was only on our way back did the dolphins appear we saw one by the outer bank area we were at and two in the inlet. We sat for a good 20 minutes watching as they fed on what was thrown off from the fishing boats.

We had the best time on this two hour tour of Shem Creek with family and friends. There were eight of us and the guides were so knowledgeable and helpful! I highly recommend this group for kayaking and paddle boards.

Amazing experience! Our tour guide Steve was fantastic. We called the day before to book a 3 hour tour at 9am. Due to the time of year there was no one scheduled to lead the tour. The front desk called up several employees to see if anyone was free to guide our tour and Steve stepped up. He was super knowledgeable about the area and history. We even saw a dolphin that followed us up the river. If you have previous kayaking experience, I highly recommend the 3 hour length as you can see more of how the tide impacts the area. Wonderful staff who is willing to help you out as much as they can.

Elizabeth and Jay were great! We had an unusual request to paddle out to Crab Bank in the middle of January to see a rare bird. The temperatures were in the high 30s and low 40s with light winds, and usually those temperatures would prohibit a trip out. We dressed accordingly and Elizabeth accompanied us. We timed the trip just right with the tide. Elizabeth even loaned a pair of her neoprene boots to a member in our group. We saw the bird (Snow Bunting) and made the trip out and back safely. We highly recommend Nature Adventures on Shem Creek!

Ben was a great guide. Knew everything about the environment, birds, eco-system, and a few extras! Highly recommend the sunrise tour. It was so quiet and peaceful!

First time kayaking and what a great time! The guide was incredible even pulling a jellyfish out of the creek! Dolphins right next to kayak, incredible. Staff so professional. Definitely recommend Nature Adventures!

We took a 3 hour swamp tour with John, in the Wambaw Swamp. John was an old hand at kayaking, but still has a passion for it. He was great in giving us beginners pointers and basics. On our lesiurely kayak tour we saw many different types of birds and even some alligators. He was very knowledgeable and patient with us.

Amazing! We did a kayak tour on a clear day, calm waters. We saw numerous dolphins swimming around us on Shem Creek! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about marine biology and we learned a lot about the ecosystem around us. Very peaceful and perfect two-hour adventure!

Awesome experience. The guides were spot on with their timings for tide changes and it made for an easy paddle out and back. Tons of places to explore, lots of wildlife, and got to see the dolphins swimming right next to us. Will definitely be back!

Charlie was so knowledgeable and entertaining!! Our group loved his guided tour! The trip was the perfect length and not too difficult to navigate.

Highly recommend doing the guided kayaking through the Blackwater swamp outside of McClellanville. We saw amazing cypress trees, turtles, a cottonmouth and woodpeckers. Our guide was wonderful as he shared a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm and we thoroughly enjoyed soaking up the swamp atmosphere.

We had a great tour with Tori! She was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic! Tour was relaxing and enjoyable. Saw dolphins, birds, crabs and even Outer Banks filming!

Absolutely wonderful experience! Our guide Ben had lots of information about the waterways in Shem Creek and Charleston as well as the animals and nature. He was patient and helpful when we were just learning how to use the kayak. Overall a great experience, I would definitely do it next time I’m in Charleston.

We were first time kayakers. Ben, our guide, was amazing and full of information. He was great explaining all that we needed to do to operate our kayaks. He was also patient and great with kids. We absolutely loved our tour. We saw a lot of wild life, birds and dolphins. We would definitely come back and do this again! Thanks for such a great first time experience.

If you are looking for something to do in Charleston that is not shopping or eating, DO THIS! We did the early morning tour and it was amazing! Getting up early really wasn’t that bad and we were done before the heat kicked in. And we saw DOLPHINS! Ben was our instructor and guide and he was AH-mazing! There were 4 of us. Mom and a 22 year old and two 17 year olds. They all loved it too. Ben was super informative, in a fun way that kept you engaged. Instruction was simple but thorough. Not intimidating at all. There were people in the group who had never kayaked before and they had a blast too. From beginning of booking till end of trip, staff was communicative with directions, etc., service was outstanding, tour was super fun! And we got a A+ for lining up our kayaks coming back in. ;) Would recommend to anyone and we would do again. Thanks Ben!

This was such a great way to see the sunset on Shem's Creek! We had a lovely, knowledgeable guide and she led a relaxing, laid back tour. We saw quite a few dolphins! Beautiful and serene. Great way to spend a late afternoon/early evening with family and friends!

We did a 3 hour kayak tour with Will and it was perfect. Will was very kind and super informative. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him and the beautiful environment. We did this with a 7 year old without any difficulty. The folks in the office were also friendly and helpful. This is a great outfit.

What an amazing experience! I went with my 4 children and mother. As soon as we began the guided tour, we saw dolphins! It was such a breathtaking experience. The tour guide was great. Very patient with one of our kayak groups from my family who were having issues. The tour guide was also very informative of the historical information he gave throughout the tour. I would 100% recommend this to anyone near Mount Pleasant, SC.

Wonderful experience. Our group was given thorough instructions before starting the tour. Our guide, Ben, was very knowledgeable about the history of the Lowcountry and the fauna and floral. Also, a fun, engaging guy. Highly recommend this tour!

Really nice way to spend a few hours in Charleston . I had to cancel at short notice the first day I booked but they accommodated without issue . The guide (Matt) is super knowledgeable about all nature , history and conservation projects , and Elizabeth is a deep expert on local birds . Would highly recommend !
